“HEWT – Human Empowerment and Welfare Trust Foundation in partnership with Awec-Africa gave loans to Awec-Africa women and these are some of the success stories

Story# 1 (Kilema Rebecca, Awec-Africa, Uganda)
I was a housewife and always desired to work because life was very hard since I have children to look after. I thank God for HEWT for giving me a loan of 100 USD to start a business of selling groceries and food staff on my village. I am happy that am working and i also have some source of income to support my family.
Story# 2 (Walusa Monica, Awec-Africa, Uganda)

I am a widow and mother to 5 children. I recieved HEWT loan of 100 USD to start up my dream business of owning a saloon, selling shoes and clothes for women. Am happy that I started to work and
now able to take care of my children. I believe that one day Iwill have all saloon equipments and also expand on my shoes and clothes business for the women who come in my saloon. Thank you so much HEWT.

Story # 3 (Nangozi Sarah, Awec-Africa, Uganda)

I took a loan of 150 USD from HEWT
to boost my hardware shop which
was collapsing at that time. Am grateful that the loan helped me
and my business is till standing and am able to take care and support my family. Thank you so much

Story # 4 (Kagoya Lovisha, Awec-Africa, Uganda)

Am a farmer rearing goats, cow and also chicken. Thank you so much HEWT for giving me a loan of 150 USD to boost my passion which at the time I didnt have feeds and medicine for my poultry and animals. My farm is now steadily moving, my cow is healthy and my poultry is expanding. God bless you so much.

Story # 5 (Asio Esther, Awec­ Africa, Uganda)

I got a loan of 150 USD from HEWT to buy merchandise in my kiosk vvhich I believe one day vvill become a supermarket. At that time I didnt have most items to meet my customers needs. As vve talk novv I have the drinks, snacks, and all the basics items that can be found in a shop. Novv am happy that I meet my customer needs and also take care of my children. Thank you so much HEWT for loving us Women.

Story# 6 (Nakiyuka Prossy, Awec-Africa UGANDA)

I have a roadside business of selling throwons(sweaters)for women. Am grateful for HEWT for supporting my business by giving me aloan of 150 USD.
My business was down because of the responsibility that I have so when I got that boost i was able to buy the sweaters. I now have capital and also able to meet my family needs.
